For insurance carriers
Managed repair, criterion by criterion.
Managed-repair and direct-repair programs ask every roofing vendor the same questions. Here is each one, with the answer Remi already publishes and the record to check.
The short answer
- programs: adjuster-led referral or Remi inspectionSome carriers want their own adjuster on the roof first, and others want Remi to inspect for them. In both programs the carrier decides coverage and the policyholder decides whether to hire Remi.
- 2
- estimate turnaround on adjuster referralsAdjuster referrals only: from Remi receiving the referral and scope of loss to the estimate being ready for review. On claims Remi inspects, the estimate follows the inspection.
- 24 hrs
- estimate-only assignment, credited if hiredRemi invoices a flat $60 when it delivers the completed estimate. If the policyholder then hires Remi, the $60 comes off the final project invoice.
- $60
- transferable workmanship warrantyRemi's workmanship warranty covers installation problems and moves to the new owner if the home sells.
- 5 years
- Type II examinationCovers Security, Confidentiality and Availability.

Program criteria
What programs ask, and Remi’s answer.
In roughly the order a program manager works through a new vendor. Figures published only in Remi's adjuster-program terms say so.
- Two ways to work with Remi
- Program fit
- Adjuster-led referral: Your adjuster inspects, then hands Remi the scope. Inspection on your behalf: Remi inspects for you and submits documented findings for your coverage decision. The estimate follows the inspection, with timing confirmed per program during vendor review.
- The two programs→
- Carrier line items, Remi pricing
- Estimating
- Estimates in Xactimate or Cotality line items, status updates in XactAnalysis or Cotality and your claim center, referrals through Remi's adjuster portal, and Hover reports accepted.
- How estimates work→Published in Remi's adjuster-program terms
- Estimate turnaround on adjuster referrals
- Turnaround
- Adjuster referrals only: from Remi receiving the referral and scope of loss to Remi's estimate being ready for review. The adjuster's inspection, carrier review and the install fall outside that window. On claims Remi inspects, the estimate follows the inspection, with timing confirmed per program during vendor review.
- The numbers→Published in Remi's adjuster-program terms
- Below Xactimate pricing
- Pricing
- Remi estimates at its own pricing, in Xactimate or Cotality line items, and reports them as 5% below Xactimate pricing, for average savings of over $1,000 per job.
- Published in Remi's adjuster-program terms
- Supplements on a complete scope
- Supplements
- With a complete scope from the adjuster's first visit, you can expect a guaranteed estimate with no surprise supplements or change orders. Remi doesn't publish its supplement rate, cycle time by market or storm-surge capacity. Ask for them during vendor review.
- Published in Remi's adjuster-program terms
- Photos and quality review
- Documentation
- Inspections follow your program's requirements for photos, documentation and submission. When the work is done, the crew uploads photos for Remi's quality review before payment goes out, and Remi inspects the job before the crew leaves the property.
- How estimates work→
- Who installs, and to what standard
- Crews
- Partner crews provide certificates of insurance before onboarding: at least $1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate in general liability, plus $1M each in workers' compensation, commercial auto and umbrella coverage. Every site has an English-speaking foreman, crews follow Remi's safety guidelines, including mandatory tethering, and every finished job is photo-documented for Remi's quality review before payment.
- Partner requirements→
- One contract, one warranty
- Accountability
- Remi employs its inspectors as W-2 staff, and they run the inspection in Remi vans. Remi writes the estimate, while licensed, insured partner crews install the roof to Remi's work order and requirements. The policyholder signs one contract, with Remi, and Remi reviews every crew's completion photos before the crew is paid. The workmanship warranty belongs to Remi, so when a policyholder calls about the roof, Remi takes the call and arranges the fix.
- Who does what→
- What the policyholder gets
- Policyholder care
- Each policyholder gets a named Remi contact with a direct phone number and email, plus a claim page showing their claim number and address. Policyholders get text updates and a project milestone tracker, and if they sign with Remi, any extra repairs found mid-project cost them nothing beyond their deductible.
- The two programs→Published in Remi's adjuster-program terms
- Serves homeowners nationwide except New York, Hawaii and Alaska
- Licensing
- Licensed wherever a contractor license is required: 38 license records across 36 jurisdictions, each listed.
- Every license record→
- SOC 2 Type II
- Data security
- SOC 2 Type II examination covering Security, Confidentiality and Availability, under a CISO-led security program; qualified partners request the report through Remi's Trust Center.
- Security and privacy→
- Estimate-only or full assignment
- Billing
- Remi invoices a flat $60 when it delivers the completed estimate. If the policyholder then hires Remi, the $60 comes off the final project invoice. Remi bills the carrier once the policyholder has signed a Direction to Pay.
- Billing terms→Published in Remi's adjuster-program terms
- Workmanship and materials
- Warranty
- Remi's 5-year transferable workmanship warranty, the manufacturer's materials warranty, a 2-year warranty on solar roof penetrations and an optional 15-year extended workmanship warranty; Remi shares the exact warranty language from its standard contract up front.
- Warranty terms→
- Volume and storm surge
- Capacity
- Remi has completed 40,000+ projects through a nationwide network of licensed, insured partner crews, and it serves homeowners everywhere except New York, Hawaii and Alaska. Storm-surge capacity depends on the market and the event, so we plan it with each carrier during vendor review, state by state.

- References
- Remi works with national and regional carriers through adjuster-referral and inspection programs. Remi doesn't name carrier partners on its website; references are available during vendor review.

Common questions
Managed repair, answered.
- What is a managed repair program in insurance?
- A managed repair program is a way for an insurer, or a third-party administrator working for it, to route covered repairs to contractors that have agreed to its standards for pricing, documentation, communication and workmanship. The insurer still decides coverage. In Remi's programs, the carrier decides coverage and the policyholder decides whether to hire Remi.
- Is Remi a managed repair roofing vendor?
- Remi works with national and regional carriers through two programs, adjuster-led referral and inspection on the carrier's behalf, and it's an approved option with select carriers. It doesn't name carrier partners on its website; references are available during vendor review.

- What does Remi repair on an insurance claim?
- Roofing for every common roof type, asphalt through tile and metal; siding in vinyl, fiber cement and wood; gutters and downspouts; and solar panel detach and reset, handled by the same contractor as the roof.
